Hearing the name Maserati, the image appearing in most people's minds is that of an exotic, absurdly fast, and beautiful sports car. We live, however, in the age of vehicles with more than one purpose and the Italian manufacturer has adapted brilliantly by making a car that is fast, spacious, and elegant at the same time.

Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2019 Maserati Ghibli is available in three trim levels: the base trim, GranLusso, and GranSport. Staying true to the brand's high standards, the base model is a very luxurious car on its own, with gorgeous 19-inch wheels, LED Matrix headlights, and a sunroof, among countless other interior and technical features. Choosing between the GranLusso and GranSport trims is not a matter of getting a trim that's better equipped or better looking than the other, but simply a matter of personal taste. As the names would suggest, one is designed with elegance in mind, while the other appeals to people with more of a sporty and dynamic personality. The GranLusso offers subtle styling elements and is quieter on the inside thanks to its laminated rear glass. The GranSport, on the other hand, is aerodynamically enhanced and equipped with performance tires while offering the overall feel of a sports car.
Engine (Power)
There are three engines available for the 2019 Maserati Ghibli. The base engine is a 3.0-liter V-6 twin-turbo capable of producing 350 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. There's an upgraded V-6 available, which produces 430 horsepower and 427 pound-feet of torque, while the last one is a 3.0-liter V-6 Turbo diesel engine with 275 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. They're all helped by an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and the top gasoline engine can also come with all-wheel drive.
Performance
As you would expect from a Maserati, all trims and available engines are exceptionally fast, while also offering smooth acceleration. While the 350 horsepower engine is enough to satisfy most speed and acceleration enthusiasts, the 430 horsepower version will offer a truly spectacular ride. The car's direction and brakes keep up with the enormous amount of power, providing perfect balance.
Interior
The 2019 Maserati Ghibli's interior is as stylish and elegant as the car's exterior, with top quality materials being both nice to look at and soft to touch. The seats are spacious and comfortable and outside noise is kept to a minimum. Technology-wise, the Maserati keeps up with modern standards, with an 8-inch touch screen controlling the infotainment functions. There are also multiple connectivity options, such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and USB. The crisp 10-speaker sound system completes the interior's overall quality.
Safety Features
Safety was a top priority for Maserati as they were designing the Ghibli. It is equipped with plenty of active safety features like The Maserati Stability Program that keeps the car steady on slippery surfaces, or Lane Keeping and Active Blind Spot Assist, functions that help the driver prevent any incoming danger. As for passive safety systems, Euro NCAP also gave it a five-star collision safety rating.
